The Probability of Miracles by Wendy Wunder

It took me more than a month to finish this book, not that it is too long or too boring to read but because I have so much work to do that I find very little time to read books these days. If you are into The Fault in our Stars kind of novels well this book might be a perfect read for you. It is basically about a girl named Cam who is diagnosed with cancer and has been battling with it for quite some time already. Cam is very skeptic about miracles, she do not believe in such thing. It's not that she is pessismistic but rather it seems more like of her self preservation kind of thinking. Cam's mother has tried everything just to keep her alive, from medical treatments to non-medical stuffs like faith healers which actually led them to going to a place called Promise. It is in that place where Cam felt things she supressed for so long like being loved and giving love as well.

The author made a very remarkable ending to the novel as well which I really admired. It is definitely not a fairytale kind of novel with all the roses and daisies but it is actually a good read. The way the book was written was very subtle, it was handcrafted very well by the author, the transistion from one event to another was very flawless.

My rating for this book: 8.5 / 10
